Focus and  Scope

ASEAN Innovative and Transformative Education Journal (AITEJ) is an internationally licensed journal adopting double blind peer-review process that accepts an all-encompassing fields of scholarly written articles. Manuscripts must be written in one variety of English only preferably American or British English.  The editor seeks manuscripts that:

  • develop theoretical, conceptual, or methodological approaches;
  • highlight results of empirical inquiry that foster the understanding of the specific fields below;
  • explore innovative policies and programs in education indispensable for future action; and,
  • scrutinize issues of current interest in the education fields (primary, secondary and tertiary)

Potential authors are always welcome to submit their manuscripts for consideration. They may submit your manuscripts online or send their manuscripts to the editor.

Peer Review Process

Upon receipt of the article electronically through the journal’s submission portal or through email in some instances, editor initially checks for its strict compliance to author’s guidelines. Once compliance is observed, it will be subjected to plagiarism validation. If found original and has novelty features, this is the opportune time for peer reviewing process. Successful articles that passed through the initial screening shall be sent out to referees anonymously. Peer reviewing process differs from journal to journal, it may take 3-4 weeks or more, before it will reach the chief editor and communicate same to the author about the outcome of the review process. Where appropriate, 2nd or 3rd round of peer reviewing may take place if referees’ comments are not complied.  Essentially, participation in the peer-review process is necessary to the success and reputation of the journal. Reviewers and editors decide which articles submitted bear quality and significance.

Publication Frequency and APC

This journal shall issue publication electronically during months of April, August and December. This journal publishes free of charge scholarly papers with a mission of contributing to the total understanding of educational landscape and to be accessed freely by academicians, policy makers and researchers.

Open Access Policy

This journal adopts the immediate open access policy to all potential recipients. All issues and content of this journal are freely available to the public to promote global understanding and potential exchange of ideas.

Archiving Policy

Upon ensuring the indexes, this journal will utilize the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permit those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
